4 Foods that seem healthy but are not
Many times we just take it for granted that certain foods can be healthy and might help us to promote good health. But many times we tend to be tricked and such foods might not be as healthy as you think. Here are a few foods which seem healthy but are not.
1. Granola bars – Granola bars might seem healthy, but not many might realise that it is a huge sugar bomb for the body and might offer a very small amount of energy or protein. For breakfast you can opt for a fruit and a couple of boiled eggs which offers protein and fibre respectively.
2. Sushi – Fish surely contains omega 3 fatty acids and is good for health, but Sushi also has rice which cannot always be a good and healthy combination. It can contains a whopping 500 calories per serving. You can avoid the American versions of Sushi which come with spicy mayo and cream cheese.
3. Yogurt – Yogurt in the market which is packed as the ‘fruit at the bottom’ are actually calorie stuffed food and might not be as healthy as it should be. You can opt for some cottage cheese with 13 grams of protein per ½ cup.
4. Juices – Fruit juices are supposed to be healthy but not many know that it is always better to have the fruit as such and allow it to oxidize in the stomach. Making juice oxidises the fruit completely due to which most of the nutrients are lost.
